Después de 90 años con un Código Civil, nuestra legislatura reconoció la necesidad imperiosa para actualizar las disposiciones legales de este código y atemperarlo a nuestra sociedad. Algunos temas que se discuten en este libro, incluyen, pero no se limitan a contratos, la relación acreedor-deudor, marcas, derechos de autor, secretos comerciales e industriales, personas naturales y jurídicas, quiebras y propiedad, entre otros. Por primera vez se incluye el tema de la ética y la responsabilidad social en el entorno legal empresarial.
