| Summary, etc. | En «La víspera del grito», Helena Sampedro apuesta a lo profundo. Examina la vida de Edvard Munch, el pintor existencialista autor del cuadro «El grito». Este cuadro es, hoy por hoy, iconografía que habita en la conciencia colectiva del mundo occidental. Aunque nadie sepa quién es Edvard Munch, cómo vivió, los dolores que enfrentó; aunque nadie sepa cómo se titula el cuadro, una simple mirada revela que lo ha visto antes. Que la figura fantasmal que se agarra la cabeza para gritar su espanto es, de alguna manera, un sueño o pesadilla compartida. Helena Sampedro nos invita a mirar la figura del artista como la de ese visionario que vence, se atreve a enfrentar la Ley. Apuesta por la sustancia de lo profundo y encuentra allí una verdadera liberación de su subconsciente y el de toda su especie - Mayra Santos-Febres. |
