Luis Francisco Rodríguez Olmo played for the Brooklyn Dodgers (1943-1945, 1949) and the Boston Braves (1950-1951). He hit .281 over his lifetime. He played with the Mexican League (1946) until he returned to the Dodgers in 1949. In 1949, he became the first Puerto Rican born ballplayer to hit a homerun in the World Series. |
