Cada capítulo se inicia con un breve relato donde se va narrando y describiendo el desarrollo de Eneko desde su gestación hasta los siete años. A través de Eneko tenemos la oportunidad de descubrir cómo se alcanza y conquista un apego seguro. A lo largo de la obra se van explicando los fundamentos y evidencias del apego y la importancia de las primeras relaciones interpersonales para llegar a ser quienes somos.
