Pocos libros sobre enología merecen el adjetivo de «clásico», pero la primera edición del Atlas mundial del vino hizo historia en el mundo editorial en 1971, fecha de su publicación. Los críticos lo consideran la obra sobre vino esencial y más prestigiosa que existe. Esta nueva edición aportará a los lectores todos los conocimientos actualizados sobre el mundo del vino. Las cosas han cambiado mucho desde la última edición del atlas. El cambio climático, avances en las técnicas de vinicultura, las modas, las nuevas regiones vinícolas... El vino que expresa su ubicación precisa vuelve a cobrar protagonismo, lo que significa que un atlas que permita al lector entender la geografía de una región resulta más necesario que nunca. Parte del prestigio de este atlas radica en su excelente cartografía. Esta edición incluye 215 mapas únicos. Las regiones vinícolas más dinámicas, como la costa de Croacia, Khaketi (Georgia), Canterbury (Nueva Zelanda), Swartland (Sudáfrica), Virginia del Norte (Estados Unidos) y Ningxia (China), son ejemplos de algunas de las zonas que se tratan en profundidad por primera vez. |
