| Summary, etc. | El objetivo principal de la investigación fue el analizar la experiencia de la amputación y la rehabilitación; como también las estrategias de afrontamiento de un grupo de personas diagnosticadas con neuropatía diabética periférica.Los teóricos del estudio fueron : Modelo Biopsicosocial (Engel, 1997) Modelo de creencias sobre la salud ( Hochbaumn, Kegeles, Leventhal y Rosenstocken , 1950) y la Teoría de Estrés Psicológo(Lazarus y Folkman , 1986 ).El análisis de contenido, guiado por el Modelo Wolcott(1994) revela que la experiencia de la amputación genera malestar emocional y físico , así como síntomas de depresión , duelo , pensamientos de muerte y desesperanza. |
