| Summary, etc. | La Corona española planificó un sistema de faros para Puerto Rico cuya primera torre se construyó en 1846 en el Morro de San Juan y los últimos en 1921 en Rincón y Aguadilla, ya bajo el gobierno norteamericano, cuando los faros originales sufrieron daños irreparables por el temblor de 1918. Los personajes que los habitaron, junto a pescadores, biólogos, historiadores y arquitectos, nos cuentan anécdotas sobre los mismos. Estos 15 faros nos llevan a imaginar un pasado en que su luz era símbolo de esperanza en los peligrosos mares alrededor de la isla, pero también nos permiten asomarnos a un presente de innovaciones tecnológicas, admirar sus estructuras y deleitarnos en las bellezas naturales que los rodean. |
