| Formatted contents note | Este libro ha concebido como una invitación a hacer el recorrido paciente por un siglo de doctrina social, dejando que el contacto directo con los textos, y el estudio concienzudo de ellos, vaya creando en nosotros un talante y unas actitudes. La obra debe entenderse como una guía para la lectura de los documentos, nunca como un sustitutivo de está. El Vaticano II sirve como punto cardinal de todas las páginas de este libro. Aunque la estructura de éste es simple, ya que sigue un orden cronológico, el Concilio es considerado como la clave de interpretación de todo el proceso dinámico de cien años de Doctrina Social. La nueva actitud oficial de la Iglesia ante el hombre moderno y la eclesiología resultante son las dos piezas esenciales para explicar el reenfoque de la Doctrina Social en estos últimos veinticinco años. Algunos creyentes caen en verdaderos anacronismos al emplear los textos de la Doctrina Social de la Iglesia, sacándolos de su contexto y atribuyéndoles un carácter universal al margen de los condicionamientos históricos. Interpretar así la Doctrina Social es uno de los más flacos servicios que se han hecho, y se siguen haciendo, al magisterio social. |
