FRANK LLOYD WRIGHT fue el primer arquitecto verdaderamente orgánico: su uso recurrente de temas y materiales elementales -diseño de planos abiertos, bien definidos, líneas geométricas, agua, piedra, madera, pradera y cielodio como resultado edificios en los que se reflejó todo ello perfectamente, realzando y asimilando su medio ambiente. La vasta obra de Wright incluyó su magnífica obra privada, tan representativa por su visión utópica; la Casa de la Cascada, en Pennsylvania; la monumental fábrica de Ceras Johnson en Wisconsin; las numerosas casas de la pradera y las usonianas, a través del Oeste Medio de América y, finalmente, su obra maestra: el tan conocido Museo Guggenheim en Nueva York. |
